Pennsylvania is a popular ski destination with numerous resorts offering a variety of slopes for skiers of all levels. Some popular resorts in the state include Blue Mountain, Ski Roundtop, Jack Frost Big Boulder, Seven Springs Mountain Resort, and Camelback Mountain Resort.

The average snowfall per season in Pennsylvania varies depending on the location, but most resorts receive between 50-100 inches of snow each year. The average snowpacks also vary, but most resorts have a base of at least 30 inches during peak season.

The best month to visit Pennsylvania for skiing is typically January or February when the snow is most abundant and the weather is cold enough to ensure good conditions on the slopes.

Pennsylvania has a rich ski history dating back to the mid-1800s. The first recorded ski club in the United States was formed in Pennsylvania in 1876 in the town of Berlin. By the early 1900s, several ski resorts had opened in the state, including Glen Onoko, which was the first ski resort in the country to offer a ski lift.
